Why is this drilling guide helpful?
Not only are you getting a drill and drill bit from us but you are getting our unique side mounted drilling guide as well. Unlike the old drilling jig method, the guide can be quickly moved from hole to hole and levels in seconds. The old jig method needs to be re-leveled at every hole and is clunky when trying to line up the rill bit over the marked drilling point.

How does the guide work?
The guide is a bubble level with 3 positions. When you are ready to drill line up the bubble on 1 of the 3 positions and begin to drill. As you drill stop and check to make sure your bubble is still in position, make your adjustments, and continue on. Because you hold the drill at the correct angle instead of through a jig; there is room for correction during drilling and you check multiple times through the drilling of each hole for correction - resulting in a more accurate hole. This start stop method and instant adjustment has great advantages over the jig method which has to be re-leveled from any movement (shifting during drilling, vibrations, etc.)

Why is the drilling jig still an option?
Some people have their own drills that they prefer to use and still want to have some type of guide to help them. In this case they can select the drilling jig to use at the $10 rental rate. Please note the drilling jig does not come with a drill or drill bit. Important Product Compatibility: This drill jig will only fit a standard (1/2" chuck) 5/8" masonry drill bits. Standard bits have a head that is larger than the flute; you will feed the bit up from the bottom and then fit it to your drill chuck. If you are using an industrial drill & bit with a 5/8" or larger diameter flute or chuck, let us know for alternate alignment tool arrangements.

Should I buy any extra bits?
This all depends on your concrete and the amount of fence you have to install. In Florida the concrete is usually softer and the bits will last for around 100 feet of fence. However in some northern states the bits will begin to wear after 60 feet of fence. If you purchase an extra bit and do not use it we will give you a full refund on the price of the bit if you send it back with the rental.

When will I receive rental and how long do I have it for?
In most cases the alignment tool ships same time as your pool fence (otherwise you will be notified regarding a delay due to stock). Your rental period begins the day of receipt of the rental from UPS and lasts through the immediate following weekend.

How do I return my rental?
Each rental comes with a pre-paid UPS label for quick and easy return. All you have to do is carefully package the drill alignment tool and affix the box with the provided return label and promptly drop off at a nearby UPS store. Or call for local pick-up (pick-up typically has associated fees).

I am buying my fence now but want to delay tool rental, how should I let you know?
